Bitcoin accepted on Sheets-Pratique

In addition to the traditional payment options, Bitcoin payment (including via the Lightning Network) is available on Sheets-Pratique, this in order to help democratize this payment method and offer a payment alternative to users who do not have access to credit cards.

Lightning Network?

In summary, the Lightning Network is a secondary network for Bitcoin that allows for transactions in about 1 second for a transaction cost generally less than $0.01.

This network is capable of processing millions of transactions per second and could therefore allow Bitcoin to be used for everyday payments.

Payment in Bitcoin (without going through the Lightning Network) is also available. However, the delays are significantly longer and the fees higher for the buyer. As much as possible, payment via the Lightning Network is therefore the option to favor.

Payment solution used

Bitcoin payments on the site are made using the payment solution of Swiss Bitcoin Pay.

For a (physical or online) business, this notably allows to reduce fees to 0-1.5% of the amount paid instead of about 1.5% to 4% for credit cards and to avoid fraud (since payments are final and cannot be canceled by the buyer).
